SLA New York Biennial Conference October 20, 2017

From SLA's New York Chapter:
"SLA's New York chapter is proud to present our biennial conference. Our theme this year is resilience in the information profession, and we welcome SLA Washington, DC members to attend. Consequently I would be very grateful if you could share the following announcement with your members:
SLA New York invites you to register for our 2017 conference, Resilience: Navigating the Information Landscape. This will be held on FridayOctober 20, 2017, at Baruch College, 55 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY 10010.
The day-long program will feature keynote speeches from Clare Hart (CEO of Sterling Talent Solutions), and Cynthia Cheng Correia (Competitive Intelligence expert and Adjunct at Simmons College).
Panels of industry insiders will discuss non-traditional LIS career paths, how to identify and avoid fake news, and how to advocate for a tech agenda within your workplace.
We'll also be shining the spotlight on various information providers, and attendees will have the opportunity to network with vendor representatives in our Expo space.
There will also be plenty of time to meet and mingle with fellow information professionals, during breaks, lunch, and at the closing reception. Our previous two conferences were praised for providing a program packed with actionable take-aways and valuable networking, and we're all set for another excellent day - you don't want to miss this event!
The full program and registration details are available on the conference webpage:
