Learn the Art of Networking from a Career Coach

When looking to improve your career in today’s economy, standard advice is “network, network, network!” Research shows job openings are often found through weak ties: acquaintances you see every so often, but can open you up to their established networks, and so on . . .

Yet even the most confident cringe when thinking about networking. Despite doing everything right - tailoring your resume, researching the company, dressing well for the interview, and sending thank you notes - rejections as a result of an extremely competitive job market leave you wondering: "Do I have anything to offer?"

In her workshop "The Art of Networking," experienced career coach Diane Cohen will provide interactive exercises, feedback sessions – and a bit of laughter yoga thrown in -  that will make you feel more confident and empowered . If you are looking for a session that doesn’t rehash the same career advice, and you want hands-on experience practicing in a safe environment with your colleagues, we invite you to join us on May 18.

, networking and refreshments: 6:00 - 6:30 PM
