Disasters…..They happen to other people and anyway, how can I help?
DC/SLA Military Libraries Group is sponsoring a special program aimed at all libraries in this area — corporate, law, education, K-12 schools, media centers, all Federal Libraries…..everyone needs to know about some special tools already in place, and to think about other possibilities of collaboration. The National Network of the National Library of Medicine has programs throughout the United States with Regional Offices for training and assistance.
YOU can help and YOU will make a difference if YOU know where to turn for information; if YOU have thought about how YOU can assist your customers, your community, your First Responders. The good news is that Maryland, DC and Virginia are in the same Network region: the SouthEastern Atlantic Region http://nnlm.gov/sea/ of the special National Network set up by the National Libraries of Medicine …. a.k.a – NN/LM. http://nnlm.gov/
